CLUSTER NOT CLUTTER

CLUSTER NOT CLUTTER! But wait, what does that have to do with a new year? Let us explain…

Now that your holiday decor is [mostly] packed away, it can feel a bit bare when all you’re left with are the fragments of pre-holiday knick-knacks. Here are a few areas you can create a fresh vibe in your home while using decor you already have (because let’s be honest… nobody wants to spend more money this time of year).

TABLE ACCENTS

Even small spaces can create a big impact with the right decor. We love using pieces in our client’s homes that have a special meaning to them. In this photo, we have several colorful Warhol prints that paired beautifully with a vintage gin lamp that was a family heirloom. Clustering items together that have the same color tones help lead your eye and creates an intentional space that feels less cluttered.

EVERYDAY ITEMS

Do you see how these practical floating shelves show off these chic beautiful perfume bottles? There’s no reason everyday items can’t be showcased. We highly recommend you create these vignettes whenever possible to live in beauty daily surrounded by things your love and can readily use. One of the greatest perks of creating designated spaces is it allows you to naturally get very organized by clustering all like-items together as you come across them throughout your home. If you have a small collection, we’ve also created a display on a side table that adds a little interest while still showing off your signature scent...cute in a bathroom or office!

COFFEE TABLE

Whether you have a gift from a loved one, a special find at a vintage flea market, or just a Home Goods gem, take this time to show off something that has meaning. Coffee tables are the perfect place to get personal and appreciate those special gifts daily. Coffee tables are also ideal to rotate items for a quick new feel, and paired with greenery will keep the space filled with a fresh, clean ambiance.

If you’re like us, random collectibles will catch our eye, and practically beg to be shown off! Clustering items that all hold very unique beauty is fun and an easy way to see things you’ve forgotten about. Don’t feel as though they have to remain on display forever. A helpful tip is to frequently switch out some of those items to get a quick and easy refresh! Keep a cabinet or drawer available to stash some seasonal favorites or just collectibles that are patiently waiting for a turn on the shelf.

We hope this helps you find a little joy in the things you already own all while getting organized and ready for a fresh new year! #2021 #freshnclean #design
